The global semiconductor market is expected to hit $1 trillion in 2030. China's chip production capacity continues to grow

From June 22 to 23, the third IC NANSHA Conference hosted by Xinmou Research was held in Nansha, Guangzhou. The "Daily Economic News" reporter was informed that at this conference, artificial intelligence and automobiles have become the focus of semiconductor manufacturers at home and abroad. Peng Qihuang, president of Siemens EDA Asia Pacific region, attended the conference and delivered a keynote speech on the afternoon of the 22nd, and mentioned that data from a number of research institutions show that under the combined action of many major trends, the global semiconductor market is expected to exceed $1 trillion by 2030. Chen Jie, president of East Electric Electronics China, also cited the data in his speech, saying that the semiconductor industry has developed for 75 years, reaching a scale of about 500 billion US dollars, which is equivalent to the next 6 to 7 years, the world will re-create "a semiconductor industry." AI and AI-related industries (including AI vehicles) will be the main driving force for the expansion of the semiconductor industry in this round.Chen Jie also mentioned that from 2022 to 2026, 109 new fabs will be added globally, of which about 40% will be in China. Wu Shengwu, chairman of Rongxin Semiconductor and vice chairman of the China Automotive chip Industry Innovation Strategic Alliance, said that China's automotive chip industry has passed the initial stage and entered the stage of accelerated development. Although the market space is vast, the challenge is not small.
